Palin launches channel to take on ‘mainstream media’
Sarah Palin launched an online subscription video channel Sunday to take on the “mainstream media.”
“Are you tired of the media filters? Well, I am. I always have been. So, we’re going to do something about it,” she said in an opening video posted on the website for the Sarah Palin Channel.
{mosads}Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, described the channel as a “news channel that really is a lot more than news.”
She said she wants to talk directly to her audience and “talk about the issues the mainstream media don’t want to talk about.”
Palin said she will invite guests on the channel, which costs $9.95 a month and $99.95 per year.
The website features a countdown clock to the end of the Obama administration and a constantly increasing ticker displaying the nation’s debt.
While Palin hasn’t publicly expressed interest in a 2016 run, she’s been an outspoken critic of President Obama, even calling recently for him to be impeached over the crisis at the United States border.
