Report: Tesla chooses Nevada for its giant battery factory
Electric car maker, Telsa Motors, has picked Nevada as the home of its highly anticipated giant battery factor.
CNBC reports that according to a source in the Nevada’s governor office, the deal is “a go.”

A Tesla representative said in an email to The Hill that the company “looks forward to joining [Nevada] Gov. [Brian] Sandoval [R] and legislative leaders tomorrow … for a major economic development announcement.”
A press conference has been scheduled for Thursday in Carson City, where the deal is expected to be announced.
The “gigafactory” is a joint venture by Panasonic and Tesla, and is expected to create 6,500 jobs. The plant will produce cells, modules and packs for Tesla’s electric cars.
