David Axelrod tweets: Gruber is ‘stupid’
Former Obama White House senior adviser David Axelrod on Sunday called ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber “stupid” for now infamous comments he made about the law.
As one who worked hard to make ACA and its benefits clear, let me say: if you looked up “stupid” in dictionary, you’d find Gruber’s picture.

Gruber, an MIT professor and health reform expert, has sparked conservative outcry after video surfaced of his remarks about the law. Gruber says the “stupidity of the American voter” and a “lack of transparency” helped Congress approve ObamaCare.
Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell on Sunday rejected Gruber’s comments, saying ObamaCare is “based on the issues of transparency.
“I have to start with how fundamentally I disagree with his comments,” Burwell said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
The White House has also pushed back on Gruber’s comments. Press Secretary Josh Earnest said he “vigorously” disagrees.
