Tax Incentives and Rebates Will Save Economy (Rep. Diaz-Balart)

I am pleased to know that Chairman Ben Bernanke supports an economic stimulus package and found his comments about the health of our economy interesting. I am a strong believer that tax incentives and rebates will inject the economy with the boost it needs to avoid a potential recession, as witnessed by the success of President Bush’s 2001 and 2003 tax cuts. As a member of the House Budget Committee, I keep a close eye on economic developments and look forward to soon working with my colleagues in a bipartisan way to bring forward this necessary economic stimulus package.
