House Dems, GOP raise $5 million in February
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and National Republican Congressional Committee both raised more than $5 million in February in the battle for House control.
{mosads}The DCCC raised $5.2 million in February as it looks to put a dent in House Republicans’ historically large majority.
The DCCC used that money to start paying down its debt — which dropped to $6.5 million, down from $10 million at the end of January. The organization has $6.4 million in the bank, down slightly from the $6.85 million it had a month ago.
The NRCC raised just over $5 million, more than it brought in two years ago. The group has $6.3 million cash on hand, up from $3.6 million a month ago, and has $7 million in debt, slightly lower than the $7.5 million it was carrying at the end of January.
