Caitlyn Jenner beats Obama’s Twitter record
President Obama’s reign is over — at least on Twitter.
After debuting a new look, a new name, and a new Twitter account all on the same day, Caitlyn Jenner — the woman formerly known as Bruce — went on to set a new World Record for fastest time to reach 1 million followers, beating the record set by President Obama just two weeks ago.
“Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought!” Caitlyn tweeted Monday night. “Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support.”

The Guinness-certified record was previously set on May 18 by the president, who amassed 1 million followers in a little under 5 hours after launching his personal Twitter account, @POTUS.
The record was formerly held by movie star Robert Downey Jr., who reached 1 million followers in 23 hours and 22 minutes in April 2014.
