Trump won’t appear on Stewart’s last show
Businessman Donald Trump will not be making an appearance on Jon Stewart’s final show, according to an executive producer for “The Daily Show.”
“I can tell you that Donald Trump is not coming on the show. I confidentially feel like it’s okay for us to say that,” executive producer Jen Flanz told Entertainment Weekly.
{mosads}Trump told The Hill in an exclusive interview that Stewart was “begging” him to appear on the final episode, but Trump said he was reluctant to go on because it may look like “pandering.”
“They have invited me,” the Republican presidential candidate told The Hill in a July 22 interview. “I like Jon Stewart — I think he’s good. They’re begging me to go on.”
Flanz dismissed Trump’s claims, telling Entertainment Weekly: “Him being invited to the last show is factually inaccurate.”
Stewart’s final show will air next Thursday, Aug. 6, on Comedy Central.
