Poll: Most think Trump is not presidential

Nearly seven in ten Americans cannot imagine GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump actually taking over the White House, according to a new poll.

The Bloomberg survey released on Wednesday found that 69 percent of voters do not have a “realistic vision” of Trump assuming the presidency.

Just 29 percent of respondents can picture Trump in the Oval Office, it added, while 2 percent said they are unsure.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton remains the White House hopeful most voters can see in the White House from either political party.

Forty seven percent can envision the former secretary of State and New York senator taking on the same role once held by her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Another 52 percent said they could not imagine that outcome, it added, while 1 percent are additionally unsure.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Clinton’s closest competition for next year’s Democratic presidential nomination, fares worse than the former first lady.

Pollsters found that 34 percent of respondents can picture a Sanders administration in 2016. Another 60 percent have trouble envisioning that, while 6 percent said they are unsure.

Voters picked former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as the Republican they most easily picture working at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. Forty percent have a “realistic vision” of Bush in that role, versus 57 percent who do not and 3 percent who are unsure.

Bloomberg’s latest sampling surveyed 1,001 people aged 18 and older from Sept. 18-21. It has a 3.1 percent margin of error.
