Palin: Bernie Sanders reminds me ‘of one of my uncles’
Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin says she has uncles who resemble Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
“He really does remind me of one of my uncles,” Palin said of the Democratic primary candidate on “CBS Sunday Morning” in an interview set to be aired Sunday.
{mosads}“And you know, you hear that, that he’s like the uncle who maybe lives in your attic and … comes down once in a while in order to entertain at a party,” she added.
“So I get a kick out of him because he, too, is, he’s candid, right?”
Palin also discussed her daughter, Bristol, who recently announced that she was pregnant with her second child shortly after calling off her wedding.
“That was a bit of a climactic, ‘oh doggone, what happened there’ issue,” Palin said. “The cool thing about putting your faith in God is, he certainly is a God of second chances, and third, and fourth and fifth chances.”
“I screw up all the time,” she added.
The former Alaska governor has yet to endorse a Republican candidate for president, but has expressed interest in serving as Donald Trump’s secretary of Energy.
