Cruz ad features Obama in combat gear: He ‘wants your guns’

GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz’s (Texas) website features a photoshopped image of President Obama wearing combat gear and warns that he is out to take away Americans’ guns.

“Obama wants your guns,” reads the fundraising pitch, which went up Tuesday, shortly after Obama unveiled his executive action on gun violence. The pitch asks supporters to “join the fight.”

{mosads}In the image, Obama is dressed in a black helmet and jacket with his 2008 campaign logo.

The ad originally appeared on Cruz’s website in October, according to the Washington Post. 

Obama announced his executive actions on guns Tuesday, including subjecting more sales to background checks and beefing up enforcement of existing laws.
