•HEALTHCARE. Abell, Henry & Associates is lobbying for Spectrum Healthcare Resources. The lobbying team includes firm founds, Patrick Henry, former assistant secretary of the Army, and Charles Abell, a former principal deputy undersecretary of Defense. The firm is lobbying on staffing issues related to the Veterans Affairs hospitals.

Miller & Chevalier is lobbying for the International Council of Shopping Centers on relevant tax issues. The lobbying team consists of Leonard Bickwit, Steven Schneider, and Marc Gerson, a former tax counsel on the House Ways & Means Committee.

•TECHNOLOGY. Ciber Inc., which provides information technology services to New Orleans, hired Akerman Senterfitt to lobby on disaster reimbursement issues, according to Senate lobbying records. The lobbying includes James Schumann and Dan Craig, a former director of recovery for the Federal Emergency Management Administration.
