Cruz endorsed by Freedom Caucus member
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Tuesday secured the endorsement of another member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus.
Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) has endorsed Cruz, according to Brian Phillips, Cruz’s rapid response director.
{mosads}”Ted Cruz is a full spectrum conservative that the people of Kansas should rally behind,” Huelskamp said in a statement, according to CNN.
Huelskamp is the 12th member of the Freedom Caucus to back Cruz.
The group has been known for causing issues for Republican leaders and contributed to former House Speaker John Boehner stepping down from his position.
