John Kasich’s campaign on Wednesday tweaked GOP presidential rival Marco Rubio after a surrogate for the Florida senator struggled to name one of his accomplishments in Congress.
Kasich’s campaign posted a clip of the interview between Rep. Cresent Hardy (R-Nev.) and MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts to Twitter:

{mosads}When asked to name an accomplishment of Rubio’s in Congress, Hardy pointed to Rubio’s plans on the campaign trail. Pressed again if he had witnessed a strength in the past year, Hardy said no.
“On the Hill I have not seen that. He’s been running for a presidential race most of this year,” Hardy responded before saying Rubio’s record had been “a little frustrating for an individual like myself at times.”
Rick Santorum, a former presidential candidate who has endorsed Rubio, similarly struggled earlier this month to name an achievement of Rubio’s in the Senate.
In the MSNBC interview, Hardy praised Rubio’s involvement in the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill in the Senate in 2013, describing it as a “very good process” with Rubio “trying to get as much in there for conservatives in this country” before sending it to the House.
“And the House got to make that choice, and I believe it was the right choice, it didn’t go through,” Hardy said.
Rubio finished second in the Nevada caucuses on Tuesday behind Donald Trump, while Kasich finished last among five candidates.
