Pundit: Rust Belt primaries hold peril for Clinton

Hillary Clinton’s surprise loss in Michigan to Bernie Sanders could be a warning sign ahead of next week’s primaries in Ohio and Illinois, according to political prognosticator Kyle Kondik.

“The Clinton campaign should have their guard up about both of those states,” said Kondik of Sabato’s Crystal Ball.

{mosads}He also predicted that the Democratic primary process is likely to run longer than the GOP’s — a scenario that “would have seemed crazy a month ago.”

The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper also spoke with two of Sanders’s supporters in Congress about his populist appeal.

Reps. Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) said that Sanders brings an “authenticity” and “trustworthiness” to the campaign trail that appeals to voters.
