Poll: Trump atop GOP field in NY, Calif. and Pa.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump maintains a large lead in New York ahead of next Tuesday’s Republican primary in a new poll that shows the GOP front-runner ahead of challengers in Pennsylvania and California as well.

{mosads}Trump has 54 percent support among GOP primary voters in his home state in the CBS News Battleground Tracker poll released Sunday morning, compared to 21 percent for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and 19 percent for Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Trump, meanwhile, has an 18-point lead in California, pollsters found, with 49 percent support to Cruz’s 31 percent and Kasich’s 16 percent.

And the real estate mogul has a 20-point lead in Pennsylvania. Forty-six percent of respondents picked Trump, compared to 26 percent for Cruz and 23 percent for Kasich.

The CBS News Battleground Tracker poll has margins of error of 5.9 percentage points in New York and 4.8 percentage points in California and Pennsylvania.
