Louis C.K. to appear at de Blasio fundraiser

Comedian Louis C.K. will help raise money for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in May, Politico New York reported Thursday.

{mosads}”I’m excited to share the news that Louis C.K. is introducing the Mayor at our next fundraiser on May 12th at Brooklyn Bowl,” Elana Leopold, de Blasio’s campaign finance director, wrote in an email to campaign donors.

“As a generous supporter of the Mayor’s past campaigns, we’d love to invite you to join the host committee for the event,” she said. “It’s a great opportunity to support the mayor at one of the most fun venues in NYC.”

The event is being called “Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Birthday Party w/ Louis C.K.”

Attendees are being charged at least $100, and event chairs are being asked to raise $2,500 each, while hosts will be asked to raise at least $1,750.
