Pro-Clinton super-PAC to launch ad blitz on Trump

Priorities USA, the most prominent pro-Hillary Clinton super-PAC, will start airing its general election ads on Wednesday, according to a Monday CNN report.

Priorities USA will spend $6 million on ads against presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump between May 18 and June 8. The ads will air in the swing states of Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Nevada.

{mosads}”Donald Trump is a divisive, dangerous, con man who should never be president of the United States,” said Justin Barasky, a spokesman for the super PAC.

He said Priorities USA is showing it is ready “for a close and competitive election.”

The group previously announced plans to spend $130 million in ads following the California and New Jersey primaries on June 8, but it moved up the date it would start airing ads to pivot earlier to the general election.

Clinton is still campaigning against rival Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination. Clinton has a large delegate lead over the Vermont senator, but he has vowed to keep campaigning through the Democratic National Convention in July.

The content of the ads is not yet known, CNN said, adding it was unclear how the group would seek to define Trump.

Priorities USA has in the past aired ads hitting him for violence during his campaign events and his lack of foreign policy experience.
