Trump: ‘I wouldn’t go to North Korea’

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Friday that while he’s open to talking with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, he doesn’t plan to visit the country itself.

“I wouldn’t go to North Korea, Joe, I wouldn’t go there. The last thing I’d do is go. I would never go to North Korea,” Trump told co-host Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

{mosads}Trump reiterated that he would speak with the North Korean leader a day after Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton criticized the businessman for being willing to negotiate with the dictator.

Clinton also went after Trump for attacking Great Britain, the United States’s strongest ally,  while blasting his foreign policy views and concluding he is “not qualified” to be president.

“I’m not attacking Great Britain. Where am I attacking Great Britain? I’m not attacking them at all,” Trump insisted on MSNBC.

“Frankly, if I were Great Britain I would get out of the [European Union],” the businessman said. “Personally I’d get out, but I said I don’t want that to influence the people of Great Britain.”

Trump has received criticism from Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Sadiq Kahn over his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States. Cameron called the proposal “stupid and wrong,” and Khan said Trump has “ignorant” views on Muslims.

“It looks like we’re not going to have a very good relationship,” Trump said in an interview Monday of Cameron, though he said he “hoped” to have a good relationship with the prime minister. He also went after the “nasty” statements from the London mayor.

“I’ll do just fine with David Cameron. I think he’s a nice guy,” Trump insisted Friday. “They asked me to visit 10 Downing St., and I might do it.”
