Biden gets standing ovation on ‘Morning Joe’
Vice President Biden received a standing ovation on the set of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, ahead of his speech at the Democratic National Convention later in the day.
Co-host Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida, took to his feet and led the applause for Biden, which lasted more than 30 seconds, before the vice president’s interview.

MSNBC political commentator Mike Barnicle also stood and applauded, and co-host Mika Brzezinski briefly stood as well.
“It’s amazing what happens when you announce you’re not running for president,” Biden quipped, leaning toward Scarborough, after the warm reception.
Scarborough said it was “a great honor” having the vice president as a guest.
During the interview, Biden went after GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on foreign policy and said Democrats haven’t “spoken enough” to white working-class voters.
