Report: Trump wants Thiel on Supreme Court

Donald Trump wants PayPal co-founder and fellow billionaire Peter Thiel on the Supreme Court, according to a new report.

{mosads}A source close to Thiel claimed that the openly gay tech investor is telling friends Trump would nominate him after winning the presidency, The Huffington Post reported Thursday.

Trump “deeply loves Peter Thiel,” another source told the news outlet, which added that those in the Republican presidential nominee’s inner circle are discussing his potential nomination.

The Huffington Post’s second source cautioned, however, that he has not spoken directly with Trump.

Both sources spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to anger either Trump or Thiel.

A Trump spokeswoman on Thursday denied that Trump’s campaign has either offered Thiel a Supreme Court seat or entertained his nomination.

“There is absolutely no truth to this whatsoever,” Hope Hicks said of the rumors.

“Peter hasn’t had any conversations about a Supreme Court nomination and has no interest in the job,” Thiel’s spokesman, Jeremiah Hill, said.

Thiel, reportedly worth an estimated $2.7 billion, would be the wealthiest Supreme Court justice, if nominated and confirmed.

Trump has repeatedly vowed to appoint conservative-leaning judges to the nation’s highest court if elected president.
