WATCH: GOP rep determined to hold IRS commissioner impeachment vote next week
Outgoing Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp (Kan.) says he plans to force a vote on impeaching IRS Commissioner John Koskinen next week despite reports of a deal to delay such a vote until after the November elections.
{mosads}”I still plan on making sure there’s a vote next week … it’s the right thing to do,” Huelskamp said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.
Huelskamp disputes reports late Wednesday that House GOP leaders and conservatives agreed to hold a Judiciary Committee hearing with Koskinen in order to delay an impeachment vote.
“There was no agreement to wait until after the election to have a vote on impeachment,” Huelskamp said.
