Lewandowski: ‘Nobody cares’ about Trump’s lewd comments

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, argued that “nobody cares” about the GOP presidential nominee making sexually explicit comments about women.

{mosads}Following Sunday night’s presidential debate, Lewandowski, now a political analyst for CNN, repeatedly interrupted CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger as she addressed the leaked video from 2005 in which Trump bragged about trying seduce a married woman.

Borger brought up Trump’s remarks, which he apologized for and chalked up to “locker room” banter. “Is bragging about sexual assault that you didn’t commit a good thing, is that a standard?”

Lewandowski cut in, arguing that “nobody cares” as Borger chimed in that she cared and so do the American people.

“If you look at the focus group tonight you know what they care about: Hillary Clinton’s emails, where she lied and basically committed perjury,” Lewandowski said.

“He’s apologized and you guys have given a pass to Hillary Clinton because she’s apologized for having a private server, so let’s move on and talk about what the American people care about.”

The conversation resumed between the CNN panelists, and David Axelrod, a senior political commentator and former senior adviser to President Obama, called out Lewandowski for deflecting on the issue, to which Lewandowski again responded that Americans “don’t care.”

“People about care about both of these things, women care about issues and they care about sexual assault and men care about both,” Borger said.
