Peter Thiel to donate $1.25M to Trump
Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal, will make a $1.25 million donation to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign, his spokesman confirmed to The Hill.
{mosads}Trump has very limited support among the tech community, which overwhelmingly favors Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Thiel’s donation, first reported Saturday by The New York Times, will be split between money given to super PACs and directly to the Trump campaign.
It will be his first donation to the Trump campaign, which reported a $100 million fundraising haul for September.
Thief spoke at the Republican National Convention over the summer, making him one of the few gay speakers the convention has seen.
