Poll: GOP voters see ObamaCare repeal as top priority for Trump administration
Republican voters want President-elect Donald Trump to prioritize repealing ObamaCare when he takes office, according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll released Friday.
{mosads}The survey shows that 74 percent of registered GOP voters say that the repeal of the health law is a top priority. Trump vowed throughout his campaign to cancel the Affordable Care Act.
Just 30 percent say that building a wall along the southern border ¬— Trump’s signature campaign proposal — should be a top priority in Trump’s administration, making it the least prioritized policy.
Combating ISIS is the party’s second highest priority with 72 percent of voters saying it is their top issue.
That’s followed by reducing federal spending, comprehensive tax reform, increasing military spending, renegotiating trade deals, passing an infrastructure bill and building the wall.
The poll surveyed 1,786 registered voters in the wake of the election using an online panel. It has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
