Joy Behar: Why do I have to be nice about Trump?

“The View” host Joy Behar on Friday took a swing at President-elect Donald Trump, questioning why the country should have to support Trump now that he’s been elected.

{mosads}“Why do I have to be so nice?” Behar asked on “The View.”

“I do not forget what he said when he was campaigning.”

Other panelists challenged Behar during a discussion which celebrities would sing at Trump’s inauguration in January. They suggested whomever the singer will be could serve as a symbol of unity after a “divisive election.”

“He targeted every group,” Behar responded.

Asked about the country coming together after President Obama’s 2008 election even though many still opposed him, Behar insisted the circumstances were different.

“If they didn’t like Obama, it was about his politics,” she said. “This guy [Trump] is about what he said.”

Behar, a vocal opponent of Trump throughout the election, said she would continue to be a voice for the “more than 2.5 million people who voted for Hillary Clinton” over Trump.

Despite pushback from the other panelists, Behar wouldn’t budge.

“I will be the thorn in his side as long as I breathe air until that guy [EPA nominee Scott Pruitt] destroys the environment.”
