Robert De Niro mocks Trump’s use of Twitter

Actor Robert De Niro mocked Donald Trump’s tweeting style Thursday during a massive New York City protest of the president-elect, jokingly reading off imagined tweets Trump might send.

“De Niro’s career is a disaster. Pathetic,” De Niro read as if it were a tweet from Trump. “De Niro should give back his Oscars. Voting was rigged.”

“There’s only one true raging bull and that is Vladimir Putin,” De Niro continued as another fake tweet.

He later added that Trump is “a bad example of this country and this city.”

De Niro has previously called Trump “blatantly stupid,” a “pig” and a “bullshit artist.” He has was critical of the president-elect on the campaign trail and continued to question his future actions after he is sworn in.

De Niro was speaking at documentary director Michael Moore’s protest outside Trump’s New York City International Hotel featuring speeches from public figures including Cher and Mark Ruffalo.

The protest started at 6 p.m. and lasted a few hours with speeches from Moore, Alec Baldwin, New York Mayor Bill De Blasio (D), Ruffalo, the Rev. Al Sharpton and others.
