Stocks dip as Trump takes oath of office
The nation’s stock market took a sharp turn downward in the first moments after President Trump took the oath of office Friday.
All three major stock indices dropped immediately after Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 50 points in two minutes shortly after noon on Friday. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also posted similar dips in the minutes after Trump became president.
{mosads}However, all three were still in positive territory for the day. And ever since Trump won the election in November, the stock market has posted one of its strongest post-election rallies in two decades. The Dow is up more than 1,500 points since November.
