President Trump says the first 100 days of his presidency has been unlike any of his predecessors’.
“We’re moving awfully well,” he said at the White House Friday, one day before the historic mark. “We’re getting an awful lot of things done.
“I don’t think there’s ever been anything like this. It’s a false standard, 100 days, but I have to tell you, I don’t think anybody has done what we’ve been able to do in 100 days.”
{mosads}Trump admitted Thursday that the presidency was harder than his past work in business.
“I loved my previous life,” he said. “I had so many things going. This is more work than my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”
Trump remarked upon the “little cocoon” surrounding White House life, bemoaning how he “can’t drive anymore” due to presidential security.
The presidency is the first public office held by Trump, who formerly oversaw a vast business empire in New York City.
Trump reportedly bragged about his election win last November during Thursday’s interview with Reuters.
“He sort of interrupted himself and handed out this map of the Electoral College and said that these were the latest figures of the areas in the country that he had won in 2016,” Jeff Mason, Reuters’ White House correspondent, told CNN Friday.
“So it was clear that the election, even five months after – he’s been in office nearly 100 days and gone through the transition – remains very much on his mind.”
