Manafort gives documents to Senate committee: report

President Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, turned over hundreds of pages of documents to the Senate Intelligence Committee, CNN reported Wednesday.

Manafort turned over more than 300 pages of documents — including drafts of speeches, calendars and notes from the campaign — that the committee requested regarding its investigation into Russian election interference.

{mosads}Manafort did not turn over details regarding his business ties in Ukraine, but the committee reportedly did not request those documents.

Manafort previously served as a lobbyist and worked with the political party of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Monday refused a request from the Senate Intelligence Committee for documents, claiming the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and citing the “escalating public frenzy” surrounding the investigation into ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.

Flynn has said he would testify before Congress only if granted immunity.
