Trump tries to patch things up with Comey in latest ‘Simpsons’ short

President Trump is featured in the latest promo for “The Simpsons” attempting to patch things up with fired FBI Director James Comey.

In the animated short, Trump offers Comey a “do-over,” saying: “I have no tapes. Let’s make a deal. You hand all over your notes, and I’ll erase the tapes — I mean, there are no tapes!”

Trump is then visited by the ghost of former President Richard Nixon, who tells him, “I came to thank you, Donald.” Nixon explains that he’s “moving up” and that “thanks to you, I’m now the 44th-best president.”

{mosads}Trump, surrounded by books with titles “Two Scoops For Me,” “How to Lose Friends and Piss Off Israel” and “I’m Still Fired” — by Bill O’Reilly — sits in bed as Nixon urges him to “burn” any tapes he has of conversations with Comey.

“There are no tapes!” Trump shouts, slamming his fist on the bed. His hair then moves, revealing itself to be a small dog with a tape recorder.

The video also depicts several staffers dangling from nooses while Vice President Pence whistles and wipes the word “vice” off of his nameplate at his desk.

The video short is the third “Simpsons” promo targeting Trump. The others are titled “3 a.m.” and “100 Days.
