WATCH: GOP senator looking for ‘continuous improvement’ in healthcare plan

A Republican senator opposed to the GOP’s ObamaCare repeal bill says he could support a measure next week if there is “continuous improvement.”

Asked if the Senate has had enough time to consider the healthcare legislation, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said “I think so.”

“Let’s get this done now. It’s not gonna be perfect, if it’s continuous improvement, I’ll support it,” Johnson said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper, adding that he would “then work with my Democratic colleagues and my Republican colleagues to do whatever else we need to do to fix our healthcare system.

{mosads}“We didn’t have enough time, my constituents didn’t have enough time” to consider the finer points of the repeal bill, Johnson said in explaining his opposition to the original measure.
