Fleischer on Scaramucci: No WH aide should be able to call for prosecution of anybody

Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said Friday that no White House aide should be able to push the Justice Department to prosecute anybody.

“Lost in WH noise is the fact that no WH aide (other than in counsel’s office) has or should have ability to seek DoJ prosecution of anybody,” Fleischer tweeted.

Fleischer, who served as press secretary for President George W. Bush, tweeted in response to White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci’s accused chief of staff Reince Priebus of leaking Scaramucci’s financial disclosure forms and that he should be investigated by the FBI and Department of Justice for it.

“In light of the leak of my financial info which is a felony. I will be contacting @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept #swamp @Reince45,” Scaramucci said to Priebus in a now-deleted tweet.

In a phone call with The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza, Scaramucci bashed Priebus, saying that he will soon be fired for his actions.
