Specter Gets First Challenger

Joe Torsella (D), a former deputy mayor of Philadelphia, filed papers on Monday to challenge Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) in 2010, according to his campaign.

Torsella is the first to announce his intentions to challenge Specter, who is consistently considered a target for Democrats.
