Nevada senator: Las Vegas shooting a ‘senseless, horrifying act of violence’
Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) on Monday said he is praying for the victims of a mass shooting at an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.
“Senseless, horrifying act of violence in Las Vegas tonight,” Heller tweeted. “Praying for all the victims & those impacted by the tragedy.”

He said he had spoken with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) and Attorney General Adam Laxalt (R) and “will continue to monitor the situation.”
At least 59 people are dead and more than 520 others injured after gunfire broke out at the country music festival.
The suspected gunman, identified as Stephen Paddock, 64, fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay, Sheriff Joe Lombardo told reporters.
Paddock, a Mesquite, Nev., resident, was found dead in his room, Lombardo said.
Police said they think the suspected gunman was a “lone wolf” attacker.
