Trump promises fast action on health care: ‘Congress can’t get its act together’

President Trump on Tuesday alluded to an executive order on health care, saying he will use “the power of the pen” to provide care to individuals because Congress “can’t get its act together.”

“Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people – FAST,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

{mosads}Trump’s planned order, expected as soon as this week, would allow small businesses or other groups of people to band together to buy health insurance.

ObamaCare supporters and insurers are worried that Trump’s planned executive order could undermine the stability of ObamaCare.

The Senate has repeatedly failed to pass legislation to repeal and replace ObamaCare, a signature promise of Trump’s presidential campaign.

The most recent attempt in the upper chamber came in the form of a bill from Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.), who together proposed legislation that would have repealed much of ObamaCare by converting funds into block grants for states.
