Trump Jr. goes pheasant hunting with Steve King

Donald Trump Jr. went hunting for pheasants with Rep. Steve King in the GOP lawmaker’s home state of Iowa on Saturday as part of his annual pheasant hunt.

President Trump’s eldest son joined the congressman for the Col. Bud Day Pheasant Hunt at the Hole ‘N The Wall Lodge in Akron, Iowa, as King previously announced.

The hunt has been a popular event for aspiring politicians and presidential candidates over the years, including visits in 2015 from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) in advance of the contentious Iowa Caucus.

Trump Jr. is well-known for his big game hunting expeditions, such as a September hunt in Canada where he reportedly killed a moose. He also drew controversy in 2012 after a trip to Zimbabwe where he posed with a dead elephant and other African hunting trophies.
