Social media users are tearing into Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren for posting a photoshopped image of Colin Kaepernick that depicts him taking a knee in front of the D-Day landings.

Lahren posted the photo on Thursday, which mocked Kaepernick’s “GQ Citizen of the Year” title with its caption, and tweeted that it was “food for thought.”

Twitter users were quick to respond, with many calling the photo “disrespectful” both to Kaepernick and to the military.

{mosads}Lahren has repeatedly mocked Kaepernick for taking a knee during the national anthem to protest racial inequality and police brutality. After President Trump began criticizing players who kneel at the start of the 2017 season, larger numbers of players also began to kneel rather than stand.

“I would like to ask these players, ‘What exactly are you kneeling for and why have you chosen the flag and the anthem to do it?’” Lahren said earlier this year. “I bet if we asked a hundred players, we would get a hundred different answers.”
