Gorka contracted to deliver Heritage Foundation speeches

Sebastian Gorka, a prominent former adviser to President Trump, has been contracted to give a series of speeches at the conservative Heritage Foundation.

Gorka’s profile on the social networking site LinkedIn was updated Tuesday to include a consultant post at the conservative think tank. According to his resume on the site, he started the job in October.

A Heritage spokesman told The Hill that Gorka was contracted to give “a series of five foreign policy speeches to Heritage audiences,” with his fourth speech taking place in mid-December.

“Dr. Gorka is an independent contractor. He is solely responsible for the content of his speeches and other statements, and his views are not necessarily those of Heritage or any of its personnel,” the spokesperson said.

Gorka, who served as a counterterrorism adviser to the president, left the White House in August. The White House confirmed that he no longer worked there, but disputed reports that he resigned.

During his tenure in the White House, critics hammered Gorka for his hardline stance on Islamist terrorism and his staunch support for Trump’s travel ban executive orders. 

Gorka has since taken on a role as a national security strategist on Fox News and is serving as a nonresident scholar at the Institute of World Politics, a Washington-based graduate school, according to his online resume.

His updated resume reflecting work at The Heritage Foundation was first reported by the Washington Examiner.
