Trump on CNN boycott of Christmas party: ‘Great’
President Trump weighed in on CNN’s announcement that the network would be boycotting the White House’s Christmas party this year, calling the news “great.”
“Great, and we should boycott Fake News CNN. Dealing with them is a total waste of time!” the president said, retweeting White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who reacted to the news by saying “Christmas comes early.”

The network announced on Tuesday that it would be not be attending the party amid tensions between the administration and the news organization.
{mosads}“In light of the President’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as invited guests,” a spokesperson for the network told The Hill.
“We will send a White House reporting team to the event and report on it if news warrants,” the statement continued.
