Trump touts poll showing his approval rating at 45 percent
President Trump touted a newly-released poll in a tweet Friday that shows a majority of Americans disapprove of the job he is doing as president.
Trump shared an image noting his 45 percent approval rating in a new Morning Consult/Politico poll.
That poll also found 51 percent of Americans disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president.

Trump’s approval rating in the poll slightly ticked up from last week, when it was measured at 43 percent.
{mosads}Last month, Trump touted a poll from a conservative-leaning polling group showing his approval rating at 46 percent.
“One of the most accurate polls last time around. But #FakeNews likes to say we’re in the 30’s. They are wrong. Some people think numbers could be in the 50’s. Together, WE will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Twitter about the poll from Rasmussen.
Trump often touts polls showing approval ratings in his favor while blasting other polls as “fake” or wrong.
