Webb to Raise Funds for Martin
Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) will be raising funds for Georgia Democrat Jim Martin tomorrow at a breakfast in Washington, DC hosted by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).
The DSCC is encouraging attendees to donate up to $12,300 to Martin’s joint fundraising committee, the Martin Victory Fund.
Martin is campaigning against incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) for a runoff election to be held Dec. 2. The runoff was triggered after Chambliss failed to garner more than 50 percent of Georgia’s vote Nov. 4, besting Martin 49.8 percent to 46.8 percent.
