Clinton Makes Pitch to ‘End GOP Obstruction,’ Campaigns for Begich, Merkley, and Udall
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) sent an e-mail to supporters today asking for money to help Democrats take a 60-seat majority in the Senate, an achievement Clinton says would “end GOP obstruction once and for all.”
Clinton specifically asked for funds for three of the party’s top Senate challengers: Alaska’s Mark Begich, Oregon’s Jeff Merkley, and Colorado Rep. Mark Udall.
“These three great Democrats are all within striking distance of victory. With just two weeks to go, now is the critical moment in their races. If you contribute to their campaigns today, you could be making the difference that gets us to that magic number of 60 votes in the Senate,” Clinton wrote. “Help us build a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and end the Republican obstruction. Contribute to Mark, Jeff, and Mark’s campaigns today!“
