Jim Carrey blasted over Sarah Sanders portrait
Actor Jim Carrey faced backlash on social media in recent days after he posted a painting on social media that is believed to be a portrait of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
“This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked! Monstrous!” Carrey tweeted on Saturday night.

The tweet was accompanied by a painting of a woman that resembled Sanders.
A spokesman for Carrey confirmed to The Associated Press that it is Carrey’s painting, but would not confirm it is of Sanders.
Many other Twitter uses responded to Carrey’s post by defending Sanders, and criticizing Carrey for personally attacking her.
“It’s ok to be mean and hurtful as long as it’s to someone you disagree with, right?” one user wrote.
“Grow up, Jim,” another responded.
Sanders’s father, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), tore into Carrey for his post, calling him a “Christaphobe.”
“What would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a ‘so-called Muslim’ or ‘so-called Jew?’” Huckabee tweeted.
Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & “Christaphobe” @jimcarrey attacks @PressSec for her faith; what would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a “so-called Muslim” or “so-called Jew?” #classlessCarrey https://t.co/HCqHoER0Ru
