Colbert mocks Trump as ‘President Spanky’
Stephen Colbert mocked President Trump as “President Spanky” on Tuesday.
Colbert is referring to porn star Stormy Daniels’s story that she spanked Trump with a copy of Forbes magazine, an account she detailed in an interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday.
Colbert showed a clip of Richard Ben-Veniste, a former Watergate special prosecutor, who alleged on CNN that the “Spanky” nickname is spreading around Washington.
“People are referring to him here in Washington by a new nickname,” Ben-Veniste said. “He’s famous for giving nicknames. He’s now known as ‘Spanky.’”
{mosads} Colbert then cautioned that while the nickname is funny, people should show respect to Trump.
“It’s President Spanky,” he mocked.
Colbert also joked about a story published on Monday that Trump is privately telling people that Daniels’s allegations of an affair are a “hoax” because he’s not attracted to her.
“The president has a brilliant new defense. He’s telling people that Stormy Daniels isn’t his type,” Colbert said.
“She’s a buxom blonde. She couldn’t be more his type if she was a fish fillet wrapped in a 100 Ruble bill. And what kind of defense is that?”
Trump has denied the affair and several other accusations of sexual misconduct and adultery.
