Snap laying off more employees: report
Snap is undergoing another round of layoffs as the company faces revenue struggles and a backlash from some of its users over its latest redesign.
According to Bloomberg, the company behind Snapchat is letting go of about 100 employees, mostly from its advertising department. Earlier this month, Snap laid off more than 100 software engineers.
“Late last year we asked senior leaders across Snap to look closely at their teams to ensure they had the right resources and organizations to support their missions,” Imran Khan, the company’s chief strategy officer, told Bloomberg in a statement. “Tighter integration and closer collaboration between our teams is a critical component of sustainably growing our business.”

The latest round of layoffs follows a string of smaller cuts earlier this year. The company has about 3,000 employees, according to its latest quarterly filing.
Snap has had a string of disappointing quarters since going public last year. It’s also had to contend with a celebrity exodus from the platform that included stars like Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Chrissy Teigen.
