PETA calling for Trump Jr.’s deportation in billboard campaign

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) plans to run billboard ads near the U.S.-Mexico border calling for Donald Trump Jr. to be deported.

The organization is criticizing Trump Jr. for his hunting hobby, with billboards featuring a photo of him holding a knife and the tail of an elephant, according to a release.

“Deport Callous Cheating Opportunists Now!” the billboards read. “All nations have their undesirables. Kindness welcome.”

{mosads}The billboards, which the group said in a release will run in El Paso and Laredo, Texas, were announced the day after President Trump signed an order to deploy National Guard troops to the border.

“While people are fleeing to the U.S. to escape violence, over-privileged, callous, cheating louts like Donald Trump Jr. are flying overseas to gun down living, feeling beings just for fun,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said in the release. “PETA’s border ad is a reminder that kindness is a virtue and that Central America doesn’t hold all the cards when it comes to ‘bad hombres.’”

“Trump Jr. has a history of self-aggrandizement at the expense of wildlife in the U.S. and abroad,” the organization wrote in the release.
