Nashville, Tenn., police announced Monday that the man suspected of killing four people at a Waffle House restaurant has been arrested.

The Nashville Police Department tweeted that Travis Reinking was taken into custody about 1 p.m.

Reinking, 29, is accused of killing four people and injuring others at a Waffle House near Nashville early Sunday morning.

{mosads}Reinking pulled into the Waffle House parking lot in Antioch, Tenn., about 3:19 a.m. and sat in his car for up to four minutes before using a rifle to kill two people outside the restaurant, police said. He allegedly killed two others and injured at least four more after entering the restaurant and opening fire.

James Shaw Jr., a customer at the Waffle House, rushed the gunman and wrestled the gun away, according to multiple reports.

The White House acknowledged the shooting during Monday’s press briefing. Press secretary Sarah Hucakbee Sanders praised Shaw’s “heroic actions,” and offered President Trump’s condolences to the victims.

Reinking was arrested in July in a restricted area near the White House.

Authorities seized his weapons after the arrest, but Reinking’s father later returned them to his son, according to multiple reports.
