Pence on Michelle Wolf jokes: ‘I count it all joy when I endure trials or criticisms’
Vice President Pence brushed aside comedian Michelle Wolf’s recent jokes about his stance on abortion as an occupational hazard.
Wolf made fun of Pence, a devout Christian, for his staunch anti-abortion views at the annual at the White House correspondents’ dinner last weekend, calling him a “weird little guy.”

“I’m pro-life and I don’t apologize for it,” Pence told CBN News in an interview published Thursday. “It comes with the territory.”
He quoted the book of James, saying, “As the Bible says, I count it all joy when I endure trials or criticisms.”
Wolf has faced steep criticism from Trump and Republicans for her monologue, where she skewered the Trump administration, Congress and the media, among other targets.
“Mike Pence is very anti-choice. He thinks abortion is murder, which, first of all, don’t knock it ’til you try it. And when you do try it, really knock it. You’ve got to get that baby out of there,” she said.
