White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Friday that she did not know until recently that President Trump had repaid his attorney for paying a $130,000 payment in 2016 to an adult-film actress who claimed to have had an affair with Trump.
“I never heard about that during the campaign,” Conway told CNN, saying “a lot crossed my desk” when she served as Trump’s campaign manager in 2016.

Rudy Giuliani, who recently joined Trump’s legal team, said Wednesday on Fox News that the president had paid back his attorney Michael Cohen for the $130,000 given to Stormy Daniels weeks before the 2016 election.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday at the daily press briefing that she was unaware of the reimbursement until Giuliani’s public statement. Trump had previously said he did not know Cohen made the payment.
Giuliani also told NBC News that Trump did not know what he was reimbursing and only learned the details recently.
Trump denies the alleged affair.
