NRATV host: Mass shootings are ‘a creation of our so-called progressive culture and media’

NRATV host Coloin Noir in comments about the deadly shooting at a Texas school said in a video posted on Sunday that mass shooters were “a creation of our so-called progressive culture and media.”

{mosads} “We’ve known why these kids shoot up schools since Columbine,” Noir said, commenting on the gunman who killed 10 people at a Santa Fe, Texas school.

“So when are we going to be completely honest and acknowledge the awkward, bullied, sexually frustrated, psychotropic drug-laced, suicidal, mass shooters in the room for what they are?” Noir said in the video.

“Or are we just going to keep acting like we don’t know what’s going on in the name of not confronting the miserable reality that they are a creation of our so-called progressive culture and media.”

Noir blamed the media for school shootings, arguing its coverage of each shooting ended up glorifying mass killers.
Guns aren’t the problem, Noir said. America’s obsession with celebrity culture is.

“Our moronic media and their blind pursuit of ratings will post every picture they can find of the shooter and repeat the shooters name habitually, turning the kid into a damn rockstar within hours of the damn shooting,” he said.

Kids that are bullied or picked on decide to “go out in a blaze of glory” and the media publicizes it, Noir added.

“Instead of teaching our kids how to cope with the reality of life, we shield them in safe spaces and give them participation trophies — incentivizing mediocrity — and tell our boys that their masculinity is toxic and our young girls that being a woman is acting like a man.”

The commentary comes days after a 17-year-old suspect named Dimitrios Pagourtzis opened fire at the Santa Fe High School near Houston with a shotgun and a .38 revolver that belonged to his father.

He allegedly killed 10 people and injured dozens more and was charged with capital murder.

Authorities say the suspected shooter also reportedly kept a manifesto of his plan to kill, writing about his plans in journals on his computer and cellphone.

David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting, has become an outspoke gun control activist that has been battling the NRA.

Hogg has also called on the media to stop naming school shooters.

“I don’t know the shooters name and don’t want to. If you agree, anytime you see a post with their name or face from news organizations post #NoNotoriety with one of the victim’s names,” Hogg tweeted on Sunday.

“We make these sick people known worldwide for their horrifying acts, let’s stop that,” Hogg added.
